Nilagdaan na ng MOOTON Games at Esports Federation Cambodia (EFC) ng Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) para pagtulungang isulong ang local esports industry at paigtingin ang competitive gaming sa bansa.
Layunin ng kasunduan na itaguyod ang relasyon sa pagitan ng MOONTON Games at EFC para pagtulungang idaos ang Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports tournaments sa bansa, kasama na ang medal event sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) sa darating na Mayo at Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asiac Cup (MSC) 2023 na maguumpisa naman ngayong Hunyo.
MOONTON Games at EFC magtutulungan para sa MLBB tournaments sa bansa sa 2023
Pinangunahan ng Head of Esports Ecosystem ng MOONTON Games na si Ray Ng at ng EFC Secretary State of the Ministry of Information and President His Excellency (H.E) Chea Chanboribo ang pirmahan ng MoU.
“The success of MPL Cambodia has helped to strengthen the development of the esports ecosystem in Cambodia, and we are looking to take it one step further by bringing MSC 2023 to create more opportunities for local talents here,” pahayag ni Ng. “We are excited to showcase the potential of Cambodian players to a global arena and to bring in global players to #SEATheWorld.”
Sabi naman ni HE. Chea Chanboribo, “I am pleased that the Esports Federation Cambodia and MOONTON Games jointly organized the signing ceremony of the MoU to establish a new partnership in organizing the MSC 2023 for the first time in Phnom Penh. The signing is part of a joint effort to develop the local esports industry and create more events in the country for athletes,”
“The opportunity to host this major international event is a testament to the development of the Kingdom of Cambodia in general and in the field of esports. Thank you to MOONTON Games for co-organizing the event in Cambodia,” dagdag ng ehekutibo.
Kasama din sa mga dumalo sa seremonya ang EFC State of the Ministry of Tourism and the Secretary General of Cambodia SEA Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC) Secretary na si H. E. Vath Chamreoun, Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport Deputy Director na si Pen Vuthy, Department of Organizing and Managing Sport Event Director Hout Sengtry, and Secretary General Lun Samedy. Tinunghayan din ng Bytedance Public Policy Lead for Cambodia na si Kyu Kyu Thein ang event.
Ngayong taon, inaasahang magiging makasaysayan ang gaganaping MSC kung saan itatampok ang bagong teams sa labas ng Southeast Asia, kagaya na lamang ng teams mula North America, MENA (Middle East and North Africa) at Turkey.
Sa pagpapatuloy pa rin ng layunin ng MOONTON na “Esports for Everyone”, tatangkain ng MSC 2023 event na pataasin ang lebel ng kumpetisyon sa pamamagitan ng pag-iimbita sa non-SEA teams para lumahok sa isa sa mga pinakamalaking MOBA tournaments sa buong mundo.
Cambodia din ang magiging host ng 32nd SEA Games kabilang ang medal-event sa Mobile Legends: Bang Bang kung saan sa unang pagkakataon ay magtatampok ng unang standalone tourmanent sa women’s division. Gugulong ang tournaments mula May 10 hanggang May 15 ngayong taon.
Tampok na bilang medal event simula pa noong 2019 ang Mobile Legends: Bang Bang na una nang idinaos sa Pilipinas at Vietnam.
